A Thrift Store Convert - Leather and more leather...

Thrift stores are a wonderful place to search for all sorts of items.

Years ago, I hadn't even thought ( or considered ), going into a thrift store. Some time ago, I dated a man who collected old records. We would drive around to garage sales. One weekend, we went into a thrift store.

To be honest, I was a tad beside myself and caught myself standing next to him which seemed like hours. "Onto the next" he said. I am a pretty good sport and went along. Once in the store and tired of standing in one place, I decided to walk around. After spending some time looking at dishes and kitchen items that reminded me of things we had in our home growing up, I saw rows and rows of clothing. I love clothes, but of course, ones budget doesn?t allow such extravagance at most times.

I began going thru the items one by one and I must say, there was some awful and not flattering stuff.

But, then to my surprise, I found many, many great items.

There was a huge selection of suede and leather skirts. In the day, these were popular.

I did have one in my closet, which cost well over $100.00.

You have no idea how pleased I was to see these at $7.00! They were in perfect condition.

A little further into my search, there were many denim skirts and jackets.

I must say, I was the one saying "let us go check out more thrift shops!"

Happy hunting / shopping!
