Acquiring the Energy Saving Habit
by Jane H.

During the long, dark winter months, I avoid the colder rooms in the house and I spend my evenings in one reasonably warm room.
During the daylight hours I plan what activities I can do there. It's also useful to have more than one fuel source and to use more of the one that happens to be cheapest at the time. For me that's electricity, propane, and wood.
I am not too proud or fashionable to wear long underwear. I've acquired the habit of going from room to room and shutting off lights.
The kitchen tends to be a warm room, especially when I am baking something in the oven, so I've set up my kitchen table with hobby supplies to take advantage of the heat.
