Coupons, Coupons, Coupons
by Megan W
Each Sunday, I clip coupons from the Sunday paper and also print coupons from the internet. I keep them all in my coupon binder, so that way I can see what I have and it's easier to find when I go to the stores. Next I look at the advertisments of local grocery stores. I then make a list of all the items that are a good deal. I also make a list of the items that I have coupons for, that are on sale that week. This helps my family save so much money. We get FREE food all the time! Clipping coupons doesn't require more then an hour of your time each week. For Christmas gifts, I save money by using coupons also! I buy health and beauty items throughout the year and keep them stored. When it comes time for the holidays, I go to the Dollar Tree and buy cute baskets for $1 each. I then organize all the products in the basket, adjusted to each person's likes, and cover with clear plastic and a ribbon. These baskets are filled with lotions, body wash, nail polish, foil, kitchen products, hair products, make up, razors, candles, air fresheners, etc. I also might throw in a few DVDs or a new hat, something unique to the person. Everyone loves these baskets. My Christmas habits really haven't changed due to the recession, I've always tried to be frugal in my shopping and am always looking for the best deals so my family can live better throughout the year on much less. :)
