Discovering Thrift

by Anonymous

My first motivational find.

My first motivational find.

I used to hate the thrift stores. Most of the things in there looked like junk and it was so boring and tiresome to look through the endless racks of tasteless clothing. It seemed absolutely pointless to continue to even enter the stores.

After one incredible find, I'm going to thrift stores whenever I have any free time! So more about this article of clothing that motivated me and urged me to go back to the store and even look for other similar stores; it is a cream colored Armani Exchange sweater that retails for at least $75. The price that I got it at? Seven bucks. That's about 90% off retail.

I go back quite often but my favorite finds are sweaters. Not cheap acrylic sweaters, REAL wool/fur sweaters; I found a Ralph Lauren sweater made out of lambs wool for also $7, a merino wool cardigan with yarn embroidery (beautiful flowers) for $6, and a Calvin Klein rabbit fur sweater for only $6! My sister often goes with me and she found a 100% cashmere sweater for only $7. Insanely good prices.

Brand name and vintage are the best finds. The point of this article - thrift stores carry hidden treasures.
