Dollar Store Candy and Thrift Store Costumes

As a recent college graduate (aka unemployed), Halloween is going to be a cheap one for me this years. We do have options though!

A good way to save on treats is to buy them from everything for a dollar type stores. Candy is Candy- kids don't care how much it costs! And they actually have a lot of brand name candies there for way cheaper than grocery stores!

I think that everything needed to make a halloween costume can be found at the thrift store. You just have to be creative, and know someone who can sew. Generally if I enter the thrift store with no idea what to be, I come out with a million. A lot of thrift stores offer new halloween costume ideas for low prices now.

I got a new wig the other day for $4!

The recession has definitely changed Halloween for me. I've had to downplay a lot of things in my life, and parties are at the top of the list so my Halloween parties aren't quite the show they used to be!

With or without money, we always have a great time.
