Greatest Dryer Bargain of All Time

My clothes dryer died right before Thanksgiving year before last. What a disaster--my daughter and her husband and their four children were coming for a visit for the holiday and she always needs to wash while she is here with all of those boys.

It was also a time when I was very short of money. I was out shopping with a friend and was going to a second-hand appliance store to see if I could find a dryer that I could afford.

We stopped at a local thrift store first and my friend spotted a dryer. I went to look at it and it was clean and looked to be in good condition. I asked the lady who was working in the store about the dryer. She said that it was a gas dryer and that the previous owner said that it worked fine but she no longer wanted a gas dryer. No one wanted the dryer since it was gas.

It just so happens that my dead dryer was gas so this was the dryer for me! I bought it for $15.00 and my husband picked it up and installed it for me.

That was almost a year and a half ago and the dryer is still working fine.

This is the best bargain I have ever gotten in my life! I may never buy a new appliance again.
