Hand-Blown Glass Plates
I regularly go to several thrift stores in my neighborhood. I live in New York City and thrift store are plentiful which you might think is surprising since the city is known for its expensive stores.
Probably, the best find I ever found were hand-blown glass plates. They were turquoise, my favorite color and are great for serving desserts and salads when I have company.
There was a set of 8 plates in perfect condition. Not a nick on any of them. The cost was $.50 per plate. I knew they were hand-blown because they had the mark on the bottom of each where they had been attached the instrument used to form them.
I always get compliments when I use them.
