I'm a Thrift Store Addict!

by Daisy

I am truly a thrift store junkie, and I have scored some great finds over the years.

Looking around my home, I don't believe you would instantly think that any of my belongings came from a thrift store, but the fact is, a lot of them did.

There never seems to be enough money in the budget for new furniture and certainly not for new decorative items, and that's the main reason I enjoy thrift stores so much.

One of my favorite thrift store finds is my coffee table, which I picked up for $2!

It's a vintage wooden table with clean lines and great detailing on the legs. The finish was in pretty rough shape, and the legs were wobbly, so the sales clerk gave it to me for a steal.

I painted it with a black melamine paint, covered the top in black leather-look vinyl, and it's a great addition to my living room.

That's far from the only thrift store find around my house.

The large iron candle holder on my table, the pretty Victorian-style candelabra in my entrance way, the lovely patch-work shower curtains hanging in my washroom, and many more little treasures throughout my home are all fabulous thrift store finds!
