It's Nice Not to Have to Say No to My Kids...

by Carmel

Goodwill is a wonderful store for shopping with my three children. I don't have to say "NO" to everything when we shop there, and they can actually buy things with their saved money.

The best example I can think of is when my seven-year-old son, who is crazy about Lego, found a bag of Lego at Goodwill for $6. We bought it and brought it home and discovered that it was actually a brand new, sealed set, although without the box or instructions.

Luckily, we were able to download the instructions off the Lego website, after discovering which set it was.

It was a Lego house that retailed for $49!

He built it happily for three days, and it still sits on his shelf in his room.

It was his best find, along with many, many books and workbooks we have bought for .25 and the countless toys they have bought and enjoyed.
