Join a CSA (or Co-op)

by Anonymous

Joining a local CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture farm (Co-ops in the US), can be a great way to support local eco-friendly businesses, but to save money on your monthly food budget as well.

A few years ago, we joined a CSA. For only about nine dollars a week, we were able to get fresh fruits and vegetables all spring, summer, and fall.

And, the produce that the CSA provided was fresh, organic, and in season.

Joining a CSA can also be a great way for a family who has garden aspirations but is limited by time, space, or both.
