Make a Budget and Stick to It

by Brad
(Columbus, Ohio)

A majority of us end up spending more than we intend to while shopping in a supermarket.

There are always things that you feel are needed, when they actually are not. This problem can be taken care of by making a budget at the beginning of the month.

The budget should include items arranged priority-wise, wherein you have minimal flexibility of change in priorities.

Keep the most essential items in group one and the least important once at the bottom. You should also set aside money from group one and other groups. It is also essential to set aside a part of your income as emergency fund so that you can use it later.

If you are a shopaholic, it is advisable to shop with someone who can remind you of your budgetary limitations.

If you don’t have any control on yourself when you are out in market, you can ask someone else to shop for you in accordance with your budget.
