Mass Transit and Walking
by Gordon
First you take mass transit as much as is required to get your daily tasks accomplished. As mass transit can be expensive, make sure you plan your trips so that you take the straightest, least expensive routes as possible. (This may sometimes mean walking 10-15 blocks to get the to straight route bus.) Also include in your plans completing as many tasks on that one trip as possible. Speaking of walk-- do this more often as well. Practice walking around your neighbor a few times if you need to build up your walking stamina. Finally, get a ride with others as often as they will allow.
