Planning, and Sharing with A Friend

How to use your car less, how to save on gas, how to save on car maintenance costs.

To use your car less, it will involve some more planning on your part. Plan ahead as to what you need, locate a mall or plaza that has it all and then only drive there.

Park the car and then make your various trips out to the stores and then come back. Better yet, make it more fun by inviting a friend each week and take turns on who drives. Meet in a mutually convenient spot and then go from there.

On the weekends, when you have more time to complete your tasks, rely on public transit and leave your car at home. Read a book, catch up on a cd, play your favourite handheld game as you enjoy being chauffeured around on public transit. You'll find yourself arriving relaxed to your location and getting to enjoy some 'me' time on the journey instead of worrying about other drivers.

How to use public transport to save money within major urban cities-

Families within urban environments should really utilize public transport on the weekends. When looking at the cost of parking, it can be double or even more than getting a day pass.

Usually day passes from public transit cover at least 2 adults and up to 4 children. You don't have to deal with traffic jams, the possibility of an accident, just hop on your local underground transit, and arrive at your destination stress free.
