Silk Ralph Lauren Dress

A few years ago, when I first started my career in property management, I was looking for some professional clothing that was stylish. I didn't have a whole lot of money to spend, as my husband and I had just gotten married, and were expecting a baby.
I was the only person earning an income at the time, so it was important to stretch my dollar as far as it would go. I decided to search some local thrift stores to fill out my paltry wardrobe.
Upon first entering the thrift store, I was a bit overwhelmed by the chaos. Nothing seemed to be organized in any sort of fashion--just mainly by size.
I wasn't necessarily looking for a dress, but some more professional-looking clothing for my job. As I was searching the racks, between a Garth Brooks concert t-shirt and a pair of stonewashed Jordache jeans, I found my prize--A navy blue, swiss dot dress.
The dress is certainly a summer dress, sleeveless tank style, but is form-fitting at the waist, and the skirt is pleated. The fabric is silk, and flows with every movement. I looked at the label to see who the exquisite, classic dress was made by, and was extremely surprised to see it was Ralph Lauren. What was even more surprising was the dress still had tags on it from Macy's!
It was brand-new, and had never been worn. It was in perfect condition, and fit like it was made for me. Needless to say, I snatched up the dress without hesitation. The original price tag on the dress was $299.99, but I literally only paid $6.00 for the dress.
What a bargain!
From that day forward, I was hooked, and will continue to search thrift stores and bargain basements for the deal of a lifetime--though I don't think I will ever top my Ralph Lauren dress!
