The Cheapest Calvin Klein Suit

by Jo
(Oklahoma City, OK USA)

I love name brands. But moving around all the time (to find them) is time-consuming and money-wasting. I started going to thrift stores for cheaper clothing and home furnishing. I have bought a number of things at thrift stores, furniture, clothing, accessories, even computer bags and kitchen gadgets.

Two of my favorite things that I purchased from a thrift store are a Calvin Klein jacket and an egg beater from the 1950's.

One Calvin Klein shirt could cost up to $100USD, let alone a jacket. I have been their store and tried on a jacket, it perfectly fit and gave me the professional look for my job. The price, however, was over $150USD. I know there was no way I could afford it.

A few months later I saw the exactly the same one at a thrift store for $6USD. It was the right size and the right color.

I was not looking for an egg beater the other day. But when I saw the egg beater that you turn from top, I knew I must have it. It cost me only 1USD. I wonder how much it would have cost at an antique store. But I don't want to find out. I love the one I found.
