The best thrift store in Saint Paul, MN is Unique Thrift, 1657 Rice Street (near the intersection of Rice and Wheelock).

Their phone number is 651-489-5083, and they’re open 10am-7:30pm Monday through Saturday, and noon to 7 on Sundays.

The store is a converted grocery, and is very spacious. The staff is friendly and is always ready to help you find an item. The store is laid out with men’s clothing to the left as you enter, women’s clothing to the center of the store, and all kinds of different items to the right.

There is a counter with higher-value items (cameras, jewelry, etc.) near the cash registers at the front.

My wife and I have found many wonderful deals there. She likes purses, and has found several Coach purses for less than 10 dollars each.

My whole work wardrobe comes from Unique – why pay $40 for Dockers in the department store when you can get them for $3.95 here?

She’s found new or practically new dresses, blouses and shoes, some with the original tags still attached, for pennies on the dollar.

The best part is to sign up for their Club, and receive 25% off all purchases made on Fridays. Tuesday is their Discount Day, and shoppers get 50% off on holidays. These are tough days to get in the store – the place is very crowded on Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day and so on.
