Use containers to catch rainwater

If I wanted to water a garden I would wait till it rains and stick tons of big containers outside to catch the rain, and once the container is full, I would cap it, and put it in my basement for just the plants need, ( I would probably label it).

I would use the rain water for lawn and garden needs only.
